COVID 19 Updates

At The Center for Dermatology, P.C., our  priority is the safety and health of our patients, our staff and our community . We continue to monitor the guidelines and regulations outlined for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) at the local, state, and national levels. The Center for Dermatology, P.C. is following this pandemic situation and implementing safe practice standards outlined by the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control.

In addition to monitoring coronavirus guidelines, we want to assure you we are taking extensive measures to help ensure your health and safety. We will continue to inform you about current information regarding the Coronavirus. You can view the latest updates at CDC.gov.

Our medical staff and employees follow strict guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, common-use areas and treatment rooms to reduce/prevent the spread of illness. Strict hand washing and sanitizing are incorporated throughout our practice.

Current and New Patients:

We ask that if you feel sick (fever, coughing, aches), please cancel your appointment and reschedule when your symptoms resolve. Additionally, if you or anyone in your household has any of these symptoms, please contact our office to reschedule your appointment.

To protect our patients, staff and family members, we will only allow one (1) necessary caregiver/driver/family member/friend to accompany those patients needing assistance.

Patients may also request to wait in their car until their exam room is ready.

We recommend and urge patients to view and monitor the CDC website for information on preventing illness from the coronavirus.

Am I at risk?

If you are in a group that has been identified as being at high-risk for serious illness from coronavirus infection, you should also consider additional precautions such as limiting close contact with others, avoiding crowds, and avoiding cruise travel and non-essential air travel. Please refer to the CDC webpage for more detailed information

What if I develop symptoms?

If you think you have been exposed to the coronavirus and develop any fevers/chills, cough, shortness of breath, or other concerning symptoms, call your primary care doctor immediately.
