Eczema (Atopic Dermatitis)

Millions of Americans experience the itchy rash of eczema. This disease is common in children but may persist throughout adulthood. The flaky red rash is commonly located inside the elbows and behind the knees. Some flares may cause deep cracks and even blistering.

Additional symptoms may include hay fever and even asthma. Evaluation by our board certified dermatologists and their physician extenders can improve and treat the symptoms of this chronic disease.

Helpful tips:

  • Avoid hot baths and showers
  • Moisturize with fragrance-free emollients daily (especially after bathing)
  • Use fragrance-free detergents and fabric softeners. If itching is uncontrollable, please schedule an appointment with one of our providers.
